LOGISTICS

TRIP DATES:  will be Monday June 25 – Monday July 2.  We will each be responsible for our transportation to Columbus.  We must be at the airport no later than 4 am. on Monday the 25th.

LUGGAGE:  We will each be able to take suitcases, a carry on, and one personal item.  Your personal item can be a backpack that can fit under the seat, a laptop case (you take electronics at your own risk, we have had some things stolen before), or a purse.  If at all possible try to pack your items for the week in your carry on in order that we can take more supplies for the folks living there.  Each suitcase CANNOT WEIGH MORE THAN 50 POUNDS.  This is very important….if the weights are over we will be charged large fees by the airline and this is not a budgeted expense.  Also, we like to leave the extra luggage behind for the people there.  So when packing if at all possible use old suitcases or ask a church member or family member if they have an old suitcase they need to get rid of.

FLIGHT INFO:  Unless you booked your own ticket or asked for different travel arrangements, we are all flying in and out of Columbus on Delta.  I will send you a copy of your itinerary to your email and I will have a copy of everyone’s ticket with me when I meet you at the airport on the 25th.

INSURANCE:  You will be covered while you are in the country with medical evacuation insurance.  We always do this as a preventive measure.  We have NEVER had to use it but you will have insurance should something happen and you would need to get home quickly for medical care.
